Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of all students and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We are fully committed to ensuring that consistent, effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support families, students and staff in all our schools.

All our schools follow the guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education (2020), Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018) and the Governance Handbook.

Each school in our Trust has a Designated Safeguarding Lead and a Safeguarding Governor details of which can be found on each school’s website, along with their Safeguarding Child Protection Policy and any wider support structures or staff the school has.

All our schools will, in most circumstances, endeavour to discuss any concerns with parents about their children. However, there may be exceptional circumstances when the school will discuss concerns with Social Care and/or the Police without parental knowledge (in accordance with Child Protection procedures).

The schools will, of course, always aim to maintain a positive relationship with all parents and carers.
